Week two, Indonesia

Surf Camp Lombok is situated down the south west of Lombok, they offer coaching for beginners (that'd be me) through to intermediate and advanced surfers. Prices are reasonable, especially for Indo, the price includes accommodation, food, coaching and use of all facilities. They have a Skate Bowl(!), a climbing wall, two stand up paddle boards, ping pong, and access to some incredible reef breaks to suit all levels.

Last days before the the season starts...

This is what´s up when the surf camp is closed in between seasons, guess rainy season is not that bad after all... The kids has been taking over lately when there has been no guests around. We´ve had a highly appreciated time to heal our wounded feet and spend some time away from the camp while we have been closed. It is now only a few days left before the place is back up and running and we are very excited to see both new and more familiar faces throughout the season of 2012.

Little sunshines!

Our little surfer girls have been very brave during the last few weeks, jumping at every oportunity to go surf, even by themselves, they love it and we're very proud watching them progress at lighting speed.

During the small swell, their little beach brake has not been working. This has given them valueable time to train for the sk8 competition in the turkey bowl.

The bare foot classic will be held close to the end of the month, watch this space for more details. Fingers crossed the rain doesnt come early. Exciting!

new arrivals and old school spearfishing!

We have a new arrival at the camp, his name is Tommy G (tommy the goat) named after our beloved coach Tom.

Tommy G's amazing, super cuddly and a pro at cruising around, loves papaya and scratching behind the ears..and if given a carrot in the morning he might give extra cuddles.

Lately spearfishing has been a hit for Olle and Alex, they've gone out almost everyday and come back with loads of fresh fish, we're stoked to get sashimi, travelli and tuna fillèt and other tasty dishes!

Keep up the good work guys! The chef is happy and WE LOVE IT!

New Boat Engine!

We just bought a new engine to our boat we got last year, it has been a lot of work with the restoration and a long wait for all of us. Especially for Scott and progression sessions who will use the boat on a daily basis to go surf more challenging waves. But the boat will be an upgrade for all of the surf camp guests since we all can go on day-trips.

The new engine is a Mitsubishi Colt 120hp, so we will hopefully be able to do some great speed (around 10kts)! The engine installment should be done within a few weeks, but as always in Indo… En Shallah!
