Week two, Indonesia

Surf Camp Lombok is situated down the south west of Lombok, they offer coaching for beginners (that'd be me) through to intermediate and advanced surfers. Prices are reasonable, especially for Indo, the price includes accommodation, food, coaching and use of all facilities. They have a Skate Bowl(!), a climbing wall, two stand up paddle boards, ping pong, and access to some incredible reef breaks to suit all levels.

Gerupuk SK8 Classic 2!

On June 7th the 'Turkey Bowl' at Surfcamp Lombok in Gerupuk, had a massive turnout of spectators and competitors, gathering to watch the locals tear it up in the surf style bowl.

Spectators of all ages and nationalities enthusiastically cheered, as the 40+ competitors divided into three different kategorys, each skater getting a 2 minute heat, while listening to the musical genius of Dj Raksasa & M.C Sakrot.

Learn how to surf

Take part in daily yoga classes

Engage in community projects in Gerupuk local school

Help us build a garden according to the guidelines of Permaculture

We have now started with the foundation for the community center at the school yard. The building is modifeid a little bit and will be 10x12m with a bamboo roof structure. We are working to get the floor finished before our spanish arcitect friends arrive on the 29th (in one week). Things are looking good so far and we are really looking forward to se the outcome of this exciting bamboo project!

It is now already the end of February and the second camp for the season has just finished, it has been a great season so far with a lot of new happy faces at the camp. Otherwise it is business as usual with a lot of surfing on the agenda.

The season has just started and we are back in business with new guests, a few new staff members and many new projects.

Here in Gerupuk the kids are an inspiration to many people and for many things, one of them is yoga in a skatebowl and while raining!       Is there anything stranger but yet so fun?

As the skate bowl now is finished we are at full work with giving it a proper welcome. A launch event is in the making and different skate teams have showed interest in taking part in the ceremony. We can not revel who yet but more info on this will soon follow...

Two guests from the first camp of the season  made a movie about the kids in action; some of them just hanging out, others ripping the skate bowl , watch and enjoy!
